BioCC OÜ is a privately-owned (SME) research and development institution located in Tartu, established by universities, breeding organizations, and food and feed producers. Our vision is to become an internationally recognized center of excellence in the field of healthy and functional food, as well as food and feed additives.

Our mission is to improve the health of humans and animals. To achieve this, we develop and produce functional foods and supplements for humans, as well as feed additives for animals. Our focus is on conducting world-class research and development, during which we create and implement innovative biotechnological solutions, integrating and developing expertise in microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, metabolomics, genomics, bioinformatics, physiology, and clinical studies.

We concentrate on research and development but also provide services throughout the food chain — from animal feed to the development of clinical trials and health-promoting products. Our services are aimed at entrepreneurs who wish to create new science-based value-added products (functional foods, food supplements, animal feeds) and make production more efficient.
